Calworks

Parents struggling to meet requirements for getting off welfare receive free weekly counseling from experienced clinicians and interns. Services are aimed at addressing barriers to employment, including substance abuse, trauma from domestic violence and childhood abuse and other issues. Individuals are referred by the Human Resource Agency’s CalWorks program.
